One of the most complete in the south of Tenerife for families. It has a children’s water park, Jungle Park, heated in winter, three outdoor pools, infinity pools for adults and a children’s pool that’s also heated. In short, rain or shine, the kids will be in the water.

The H10 Costa Adeje Palace has an all-inclusive option, an entertainment programme for kids and adults, and direct access to the La Enramada seafront promenade. It’s not the most spectacular on the list, but for families looking for a good hotel with a water park in Tenerife without spending a fortune, it’s a great choice.

Landmar Costa los Gigantes Family Resort in Puerto de Santiago

This is one of the most popular hotels lately in Tenerife for travelling with kids. It has a pool with a big slide, a water park and also a multi-adventure area with a 25-metre zip line, a climbing wall, a high ropes course and minigolf. A mini-disco, a games room, a Kids Camp with camping under the stars… the activity programme is one of the most complete out there.

It’s in Puerto de Santiago, with spectacular views of the Los Gigantes cliffs and Playa de la Arena, with that black volcanic sand that so fascinates travellers. It’s a little further from the tourist south. By the way, if you book direct, the first child stays free.

• If budget isn’t an issue, the GF Victoria is the best hotel with slides and a water area in Tenerife. Seven pools, a surf pool, a zip line… nothing else on the island compares.
• If you travel with young children and want the hotel to work as well in January as in August, the H10 Costa Adeje Palace and its heated Jungle Park is the most reliable option. Rain or shine, the little ones will be in the water.
• If you want something more themed and spectacular, the Bahía Príncipe Fantasia with its lovely castle and water park is an unforgettable experience for the youngest in the family. Of the Tenerife hotels with a water park included, this is the most complete.
